Ed Ryan, CPA, Principal

With more than 31 years of experience providing tax, accounting and business advisory services, Ed Ryan leads the tax consulting practice for Reznick Group’s Bethesda office. He has earned national recognition for his experience in real estate syndication, partnership and real estate taxation, affordable housing, low income housing and historic tax credits. Ed’s involvement in the low-income housing tax credit area includes tax credit projects involving developers (both for-profit and nonprofit), syndicators, equity partners and local and statewide housing authorities. Additional areas of knowledge include partnership allocations, tax planning, taxation compliance review, structuring tax credit transactions, and preparing financial projections used to solicit debt and equity financing for real estate transactions.

Ed is a frequent speaker at national real estate conferences, especially in the affordable housing arena. He also has written curricula for, and taught, numerous professional training courses covering topics such as low income housing tax credits, technical principles, regulations and compliance.
