John T. Woodbury, CPA, MST, Principal

With more than 30 years of professional experience, John Woodbury is a principal in Reznick Group’s Chicago office. He has spent virtually his entire career consulting on income tax matters for real estate-related businesses and high net worth individuals. He has extensive experience in the income tax aspects of all phases of real estate operations, encompassing both the business operations and the potential impact upon owners. John also has experience working with the income tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions of various entity types.  He has been involved in all phases of business growth from start-up to succession and has worked with numerous tax-exempt organizations to help them operate effectively in futhering their goals.

John has participated in a number of real estate syndications involving all types of asset classes with developers, investors, syndicators and attorneys.  In addition, he has peformed due diligence and participated in an IPO for a publicly traded REIT. John is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars and has taught college-level classes in small business income tax.
