
Russell Phillips has three years of private accounting and more than 13 years of public accounting experience, providing audit, reviews, accounting, tax, and management advisory services. He has worked with corporations, general contractors, developers, low-income housing tax credit partnerships, multi-family residential clients, 501c3 nonprofits, and commercial and residential real estate.
Russell is responsible for numerous aspects of audit and tax engagements, including the review and evaluation of internal control systems for compliance with financing and bonding requirements, and determining the nature and extent of audit procedures to be performed. Other duties include determination of audit scope, selection of procedures, staff supervision, work paper review, as well as identification, resolution and summarization of audit issues, client communication of preparation of financial statements, and federal and state tax returns. He also provides consulting services through the preparation of management letters. In addition to his client responsibilities, Russell has developed a firm-sponsored professional education training program where he serves as an instructor.
