Thomas A. Fassett, Regional Managing Principal

Tom Fassett serves as Reznick Group's Regional Managing Principal for the West Region including the Los Angeles and Sacramento offices.  He has more than 20 years of public accounting and private sector experience, which encompasses audit, accounting, tax, and other relevant accounting services.  Tom’s industry experience includes servicing clients in nonprofit, real estate development, construction contracting, subsidized housing projects, commercial shopping centers and residential apartment sectors. In addition, he has been asked to provide expert witness testimony regarding affordable housing projects.

Tom’s responsibilities include the planning and audit program development of all assigned audit engagements, the direct supervision of all audit field work, workpaper review, review for compliance with laws and contracts and the preparation of financial statements and tax returns. He is responsible for providing audit and tax services to multiple not-for-profit clients, many of which receive federally sourced grants. These services include the evaluation and testing of financial and statistical data compliance with regulatory agencies.

Prior to joining Reznick Group, Tom was employed by a Charlotte, N.C.-based public accounting firm as a staff accountant where he was responsible for performing audits, reviews and compilations for a wide variety of clients.
