
Ms. Vowell is a Vice President and the Business Development Officer for New Markets and Historic Tax Credit Investments. Since joining US Bancorp Community Development Corporation in 2005, she has been instrumental in originating and closing over $900 million in Tax Credit investments for more than 150 projects. She currently oversees the origination of transactions in the East Coast and Southeast regions, and has helped provide funding for a diverse array of projects; from food banks and performing arts centers, to grocery stores and office space. Prior to joining USBCDC, Ms. Vowell worked in private real estate development, managing several redevelopment projects. She holds an M.B.A. from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA. Ms. Vowell also holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and began her career in the DC area as a Transportation Engineer. She is the Treasurer of the DC Preservation League.
