Chip Olsen, CB Richard Ellis

 

Chip Olsen is a Senior Managing Director and Co-Market Leader with CBRE’s Atlanta office. He and his partner, David Lanier, lead a team of more than 300 professionals including over 100 brokers, 35 project managers, 25 appraisers and 35 asset managers, to execute strategic, integrated and comprehensive commercial real estate services for tenants/occupiers, property owners and vertical industries in the office, industrial and retail sectors. Mr. Olsen has more than 23 years of experience in the real estate and power industries as well as extensive experience in corporate services, development and project management.

Before joining CBRE, Mr. Olsen was the Senior Vice President of KIRCO Development Co. in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a partner in that office, he was responsible for the development and growth of the company’s business throughout the region. Mr. Olsen also served as an Area Director with Trammell Crow Company where he managed business operations for the Mid-South region including North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama. In addition, Mr. Olsen was the Vice President of Cogentrix Energy Inc., where he developed merchant power plants, overseeing large site acquisitions, complex entitlement strategies, environmental permitting, power contract negotiations, engineering, project management and finance.

Mr. Olsen is an active member of the community. He has served on the Board of YMCA and is active with the Greater Atlanta Boys & Girls Club and the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors.
