
Scott Shuman, Arnall Golden Gregory
Mr. Shuman is a partner in the Commercial Real Estate Practice Group. His practice concentrates on retail and mixed-use development, including acquisition, leasing and disposition of regional shopping centers, mixed-use projects, neighborhood centers, healthcare related facilities and single purpose buildings. He represents a number of regional, national and international developers and tenants on both a nationwide and local basis. Also, he represents clients in local liquor licensing issues as well as matters involving franchisor and franchisee relations.

Representative Transactions
- Led lease analysis due diligence team on client acquisition of $1.2B, nine super-regional mall portfolio. The portfolio consisted of over 2,000,000 sf of in-line space and over 30 anchors.
- Lead counsel to developer of mixed-use development, including hotel, office, apartment and retail components.
- Represented international landlord in portfolio wide rollout of major international fashion anchor tenant.
- Headed real estate team in national retailer’s acquisition of a 350 unit chain.
- Negotiated ground leases, purchase agreements and operating agreements on behalf of and adverse to national department store, big box, movie theater and supermarket operators.
- Represented national restaurant chain in multiple outparcel purchase, sale and leaseback transaction.
- Represented landlord in 10-year renewal and expansion of 150,000 rsf office lease, including relocation and/or termination of 5 other tenants.
