In this recent segment, Glen Ogilvie, CEO of the Center for Nonprofit Advancement, asked Anne and others involved with the award-winning N Street Village organization to share strategies and advice for establishing and maintaining effective board governance. Anne noted that this is a transformational time for nonprofit boards. Current economic challenges combined with the transparency of governance procedures required through changes to the Form 990 have put board members on notice that they have a significant responsibility to the public. She also noted that Reznick Group's sponsorship of the Board Governance award is an important way for the firm to give back to the nonprofit community and to be a part of promoting best practices among boards of directors.
